From Soapbox to Ballot Box...

Another Season is upon us...not tornado season, heat of the summer, or football...its Election Season.  Its time for the endless commercials, phone calls, and junk mail....Its time for our voices to be heard through the democratic process. All too often, people sit on their couches (barstools, front poarch, etc) and complain about all that is wrong in the world, yet they don't take the MOST IMPORTANT step towards fixing those things they see as wrong...THEY DON'T VOTE! Its not about Republican or Democrat, Tea Partier or Socialist...Its about taking the time to express your views through the ballot box. In my talk, I will share ways to research candidates, register to vote, communicate with and lobby your elected officials, and, most importantly, step off your soapbox and start making a difference in the community, state, country and the world.
